Thanks for the excellent report, Bret. I was totally riveted! You ran a really smart race and it paid off. Very, very cool! I kind of went into this race with the same mindset of wanting to improve on my previous performance here (my only other 100 as well). I didn’t have nearly the success that you did, but I still had a blast! I loved your race analysis, too. I’m not sure I think the course is faster, but maybe that’s because I’m not a front runner. For someone who is a strong downhill runner, it could be equal. I’m with Jasper though – I really liked the stretch to Mt. Rose. Anyway, congrats. You’re totally bad-ass!

Awesome race at TRT! This was the only forum/venue I could find to offer such sentiments. I’m bummed I couldn’t stick around until 5 to hang out at awards, but that said…nice job and it was fun running with you. If I’m ever in the Bay Area or you’re ever down South here (AC100?) buzz me and we’ll go for a trot.

Super race Brett! When you’ve run 93 miles on a tough course and your feeling is that you are going to crush the next seven miles; then it’s obvious that you did a great job preparing for this race! Congratulations on seeing your hard work pay off!

Thanks for letting me be a part of your race. It was lots of fun watching you out there and a little crazy seeing how strong you looked each time you came through the aid stations. I’ll give it a 30% chance that I need your aid some time in 2011.
